Ronnie Hobbs
FOUNDER
Ronnie Hobbs founded Lone Star Corporation in 2009. With over 39 years of experience in electrical construction and field services, Ronnie has grown Lone Star Corporation from a small West Texas startup to a regional leader providing a full-range of electrical services to a wide variety of industrial sectors.
Prior to incorporating Lone Star, Ronnie was the founding Vice President of the United States Operations of Pyramid Instrumentation & Electric Corporation-a U.S. Arm of the Canadian based Pyramid Corporation. As Vice President of U.S. Operations, he was directly responsible for all of the U.S. operations and was instrumental in the company’s success. Under his leadership Pyramid grew from its first U.S. employee in 2002 to over 250 employees, 6 branch offices and annual gross revenues exceeding $55MM.
Ronnie began his electrical career in 1979 with Cass Electric, an oilfield electrical contracting company in Andrews, Texas. With more than three decades of experience in the electrical contracting industry throughout the Permian Basin region, Ronnie has served in various roles that include electrical, instrumentation, automation, overhead utilities and distribution of power for the oil and gas, petrochemical and mining industries.

On June 3rd, 2022 Ronnie sadly passed away in a accident. We continue to strive every day to make him proud.

Landon Hobbs has been with Lone Star corporation since 2009. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Lone Star Corporation.
Landon started out in the industry in 2007 at Pyramid Corporation helping his dad, Ronnie Hobbs. When Ronnie Hobbs decided to start Lone Star Corporation in 2009 Landon quit Pyramid Corporation and was the first Lone Star employee. Landon played an instrumental role in helping his dad get Lone Star ready to operate. Landon has continued to grow with the company taking on various roles, including: Warehouse Manager, Fleet Manager, AR Specialist, Purchasing Specialist, and VP of Operations.

As Executive Vice President of Lone Star Corporation, Kayla Hobbs brings over 11 years of experience and dedication to the company’s continued success. Having worked her way through multiple roles within the organization, Kayla has developed a deep, well-rounded understanding of Lone Star’s operations, culture, and long-term vision.
Her leadership plays a vital role in guiding day-to-day operations and supporting strategic growth across all divisions. Known for her strong work ethic, adaptability, and team-first mindset, Kayla’s contributions are instrumental to Lone Star’s performance, employee development, and client satisfaction. Her hands-on experience and leadership help ensure the company remains focused, efficient, and driven toward excellence.

As Vice President of Automation at Lone Star Corporation, Bob Dawson leads the strategic development of the Automation Division, driving new growth opportunities and optimizing the performance of automation services. The division, made up of two business units, delivers comprehensive automation design and control panel manufacturing services to a diverse range of clients.
Bob brings over 40 years of experience in advanced oil and gas measurement, production automation design, and commissioning. Before joining Lone Star, he spent 15 years at Superior Optimization as Vice President of Automation Services, where he held various roles in business development and operations management. Earlier in his career, Bob worked as an Instrumentation and Electrical Specialist for Cantera Resources.
He holds an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Odessa College.

As Corporate Controller at Lone Star Corporation, LaDonna Morgan brings over 20 years of accounting expertise and financial leadership to the team. With both a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas Permian Basin, LaDonna combines deep technical knowledge with real-world experience to manage the financial health of the company.
With a combined four years at Lone Star, LaDonna has become a vital part of the organization’s success. She oversees all aspects of financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls, ensuring the company remains fiscally strong and strategically positioned for growth. Her attention to detail, reliability, and commitment make her an indispensable asset to the Lone Star team.

Mari Molinar

As Director of Health, Safety, and Environmental at Lone Star Corporation, Mari Molinar leads all safety operations, ensuring full compliance with client requirements and regulatory agencies including OSHA, FMCSA/PHMSA, and NFPA. She manages client audits and reviews, accident prevention and investigations, and comprehensive safety reporting. Mari is responsible for planning, implementing, and continuously reviewing safety policies, procedures, and programs to uphold the highest standards.
Mari directs a dedicated safety team focused on fostering a strong, positive safety culture that protects every Lone Star employee. Her leadership helps create a work environment where safety is a core value.
Mari began her safety career as a third-party consultant conducting facility inspections and audits within the oil and gas industry. She joined Lone Star in 2015 as a Field Safety Coordinator and advanced to Safety Coordinator in 2017 before assuming her current leadership role.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health with a concentration in Oil and Gas from Columbia Southern University and studied Taxation at Texas Tech University’s College of Business.
Shawn Davis

Shawn began his career in the electrical industry in 2008 with Pyramid Corporation, working under Ronnie Hobbs while attending Odessa College. After graduating, he joined Sun Electric, where he spent six years developing a passion for the Overhead Distribution sector. During his time there, he gained valuable hands-on experience in the field and expanded his knowledge of warehouse operations, fleet purchasing, and administrative processes — eventually stepping into multiple management roles.
In 2016, Shawn brought his expertise to Lone Star Corporation, where he launched the Odessa Powerline division with a dedicated team. Under his leadership, the division has continued to grow and thrive. With a well-rounded background and deep industry insight, Shawn remains focused on expanding the division’s capabilities, collaborating with oil, gas, and utility partners throughout Texas and New Mexico, and supporting national disaster recovery through Lone Star’s storm restoration contracts.
As Vice President of Electrical Maintenance at Lone Star Corporation, Alex Mauz brings over 15 years of industry experience and a deep commitment to quality, safety, and leadership. A licensed Journeyman Electrician in the state of Texas, Alex has built his career on a foundation of hands-on expertise and a strong work ethic.
Alex is passionate about delivering top-tier workmanship while supporting the well-being of Lone Star’s field personnel and building lasting relationships with clients. His focus on excellence and integrity ensures that every project meets the highest standards — both in performance and in service. Through his leadership, the Electrical Maintenance division continues to grow while remaining dependable, efficient, and customer-focused.
