Ronnie Hobbs
FOUNDER
Ronnie Hobbs founded Lone Star Corporation in 2009, bringing more than four decades of experience in electrical construction, instrumentation, automation, utilities, and field services. Through his leadership and vision, Ronnie grew Lone Star from a small West Texas startup into a regional electrical contractor serving a wide range of industrial sectors.
Ronnie began his electrical career in 1979 with Cass Electric, an oilfield electrical contracting company in Andrews, Texas. Over the course of his career, he gained extensive experience throughout the Permian Basin and across the oil and gas, petrochemical, and mining industries. His expertise included electrical construction, instrumentation, automation, overhead utilities, and power distribution.
Before founding Lone Star, Ronnie served as the founding Vice President of U.S. Operations for Pyramid Instrumentation & Electric Corporation, the U.S. arm of the Canadian-based Pyramid Corporation. During his time with Pyramid, he was responsible for U.S. operations and played a key role in the company’s growth. Under his leadership, the organization expanded from its first U.S. employee in 2002 to more than 250 employees, six branch offices, and over $55 million in annual gross revenue.
In 2009, Ronnie took the experience he had gained throughout his career and founded Lone Star Corporation. His vision was to build a company grounded in hard work, integrity, safety, quality, and a commitment to its customers. Those principles became the foundation of Lone Star and continue to influence the company today.
Ronnie passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2022. While his loss left a lasting impact on his family, employees, and the company he built, his legacy continues through the people, values, and culture he established at Lone Star.
Today, Lone Star Corporation remains committed to carrying Ronnie’s vision forward—continuing to grow, serve its customers, develop its people, and uphold the standards he believed in.

Landon Hobbs has been with Lone Star Corporation since its founding in 2009 and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. As the company’s second employee, Landon has played an important role in building Lone Star from the ground up.
Landon began his career in 2007 with Pyramid Corporation, working alongside his father, Ronnie Hobbs. When Ronnie founded Lone Star Corporation in 2009, Landon left Pyramid to join him in launching the new company. From the beginning, Landon helped establish the systems, resources, and day-to-day operations needed to build and grow the business.
Throughout his career with Lone Star, Landon has held a variety of roles, including Warehouse Manager, Fleet Manager, Accounts Receivable Specialist, Purchasing Specialist, and Vice President of Operations. His experience across these areas has given him a broad understanding of the company and the many moving parts required to successfully serve its customers.
Today, as President and CEO, Landon continues to build on the foundation established by his father while leading Lone Star into its next phase of growth. His leadership is centered around safety, integrity, accountability, teamwork, operational excellence, and customer service.
Having been with Lone Star since day one, Landon brings a unique perspective to his leadership. He has experienced the company’s growth firsthand and understands the importance of its people, customers, and the values that have shaped Lone Star from the beginning.
From the company’s earliest days to its continued growth today, Landon remains committed to building on the Lone Star legacy and delivering the quality, service, and reliability our customers expect.

As Executive Vice President of Lone Star Corporation, Kayla Hobbs brings more than 13 years of experience with the company and a strong commitment to its continued growth and success. Over the course of her career, Kayla has worked through multiple roles within Lone Star, developing a well-rounded understanding of the company’s operations, culture, people, and long-term vision.
Her experience across the organization has given Kayla a unique perspective on the day-to-day challenges and opportunities of running a growing electrical and industrial services company. Today, she plays an important role in overseeing operations, supporting strategic initiatives, and helping guide the company’s continued development across its divisions.
Kayla is known for her strong work ethic, adaptability, and team-first approach. She works closely with employees and leadership to promote accountability, efficiency, and collaboration while helping maintain the standards of quality and service Lone Star’s customers have come to expect.
As a member of Lone Star’s leadership team, Kayla remains focused on developing people, strengthening operations, supporting customers, and building on the foundation established by the company’s founders. Her hands-on experience and dedication continue to play an important role in shaping Lone Star’s future.

Kayla Hobbs
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
As Chief Operating Officer of Lone Star Corporation, Bob Dawson brings more than 40 years of experience in the electrical, instrumentation, automation, and oil and gas industries. With a career built around technical expertise, operations management, and business development, Bob plays an important role in supporting Lone Star’s continued growth and operational excellence.
Before joining Lone Star, Bob spent 15 years with Superior Optimization, where he served as Vice President of Automation Services and held various leadership roles in business development and operations management. During his career, he has developed extensive experience in advanced oil and gas measurement, production automation, system design, and commissioning. Earlier in his career, Bob worked as an Instrumentation and Electrical Specialist with Cantera Resources.
At Lone Star, Bob provides leadership across the company’s operations while helping develop strategies that improve efficiency, strengthen customer relationships, and support continued growth. His extensive industry experience and understanding of automation and controls also provide valuable insight into the company’s technical capabilities and the evolving needs of its customers.
Bob holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Odessa College. His combination of technical knowledge, operational experience, and business leadership makes him a valuable member of Lone Star’s executive team.

As Chief Financial Officer of Lone Star Corporation, LaDonna Morgan brings more than 20 years of accounting experience and financial leadership to the organization. With both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas Permian Basin, LaDonna combines strong technical knowledge with extensive real-world experience to support the financial strength and continued growth of Lone Star.
Since joining Lone Star, LaDonna has become an integral part of the company’s leadership team. She oversees key areas of financial management, including financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, and internal controls, helping ensure the company maintains a strong financial foundation while remaining positioned for long-term growth.
LaDonna is known for her attention to detail, reliability, and thoughtful approach to financial management. Her ability to balance day-to-day financial responsibilities with the broader goals of the organization provides valuable support to Lone Star’s leadership team and helps guide sound business decisions.
As CFO, LaDonna works closely with company leadership to maintain financial accountability, strengthen internal processes, and support the continued development of the organization. Her experience and dedication play an important role in helping Lone Star operate efficiently, plan strategically, and build for the future.

As Director of Health, Safety & Environmental at Lone Star Corporation, Mari Molinar leads the company’s HSE program and plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and responsible work environment. With extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, Mari oversees safety operations across Lone Star while ensuring compliance with client requirements and regulatory agencies, including OSHA, FMCSA, PHMSA, and NFPA.
Mari is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving Lone Star’s safety policies, procedures, and programs. Her responsibilities include client audits and reviews, accident prevention and investigations, safety reporting, regulatory compliance, and supporting the company’s field operations. She also leads a dedicated safety team focused on providing employees with the training, resources, and support necessary to work safely and effectively.
Mari began her safety career as a third-party consultant conducting facility inspections and audits throughout the oil and gas industry. She joined Lone Star in 2015 as a Field Safety Coordinator and advanced to Safety Coordinator in 2017 before moving into her current leadership role.
Her career progression within Lone Star has given her firsthand knowledge of the company’s field operations and a strong understanding of the challenges employees face in the field. Mari uses that experience to promote a proactive safety culture where safety is not simply a requirement, but a shared responsibility and core value across the organization.
Mari holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health with a concentration in Oil and Gas from Columbia Southern University and has also studied Taxation through Texas Tech University’s College of Business.
Through strong leadership, continuous improvement, and a commitment to protecting people, Mari helps ensure that safety remains at the center of everything Lone Star does.
Shawn Davis
VICE PRESIDENT,
OF POWERLINE OPERATIONS
As Vice President of Powerline at Lone Star Corporation, Shawn brings extensive experience in overhead distribution, utility operations, and field leadership to the organization. With a career spanning more than 15 years in the electrical industry, Shawn has developed a well-rounded understanding of field operations, fleet and equipment management, and the demands of serving customers in the utility and energy sectors.
Shawn began his electrical career in 2008 with Pyramid Corporation, working under Ronnie Hobbs while attending Odessa College. After completing his education, he joined Sun Electric, where he spent six years developing a strong passion for the overhead distribution industry. During his time there, Shawn gained extensive hands-on field experience while also expanding his knowledge in warehouse operations, fleet purchasing, and administrative management.
In 2016, Shawn returned to Lone Star Corporation with a vision to build and expand the company’s Powerline capabilities. He launched the Odessa Powerline Division with a dedicated team and has continued to grow the division into a key part of Lone Star’s overall service offering.
Today, Shawn leads Lone Star’s Powerline operations, working closely with oil and gas companies, utilities, and other industry partners throughout Texas and New Mexico. He also plays an important role in Lone Star’s storm restoration and disaster recovery efforts, helping provide critical utility services when communities and infrastructure are impacted by severe weather and other events.
Known for his hands-on approach, industry knowledge, and commitment to his team, Shawn continues to focus on expanding the Powerline Division’s capabilities while delivering safe, reliable, and efficient service to Lone Star’s customers.
From learning the trade in the field to building Lone Star’s Powerline Division, Shawn’s career reflects a commitment to growth, leadership, and serving customers when they need it most.
